Haiti Relief Effort
The Crossings and its ministries (Adrenaline, FLOOD, Live Love) and One Heart for Women and Children have partnered with over eighty businesses and schools in the community to collect needed supplies for the relief effort in Haiti.
Few can do a lot, a lot can do a little…but when a lot do a little, it equals a lot!
So we encourage you to join in and be a part of salvaging, sustaining, and encouraging lives who continue to face incredible obstacles in their struggle to survive and rebuild.
Home in a Box
Who ever thought you could pack a home in a box!! Well, with 8 essential items we can give a family of 4 a head start in creating a temporary home. The boxes are being packed on Sunday, March 7, and here is the list of essential items that will be included:
Tent (6 man, 10 X 10) 4 sets of sheets
Tarp (at least 12 X 12) 4 blankets
Rope 4 pillows
Flashlight and batteries 4 towels
80 large containers to be filled
Each container is 40 feet long with a capacity of 40,000 pounds. They have been donated to Brent Gambrel Ministries, and we are working with others to to fill these containers with needed supplies.

Tarps
5 gallon buckets
Rope
Tylenol/Childrens Tylenol
Advil
Bandages
Antibiotic creams
Antibiotics
Peroxide
Ace bandages
Antibacterial gel
Antifungal ointment
Cold packs
Personal hygiene product
Baby wipes
Wash cloths
Thin blankets
Flash lights and batteries
Baby formula
Baby cereal
Canned food products
Dry milk
Pasta
Clothes are not being collected at this time, but there is a need for SHOES (crocs, sturdy Flip Flops)
Drop off Locations:
Metro West Elementary: 9 AM to 3 PM
West Orange High:6:45 AM to 3 PM
Olympia High: 6:45 PM to 3:PM
Financial Contributions
All financial contributions should be made directly to Brent Gambrell Ministries (www.brentgambrell.com), who are funding the movement of the container supplies to the people of . Contributions can also be made to New Missions (www.newmissions.org), one of our partners.
Hands and Feet Needed
There will be an ongoing need for donated items to be picked up at the locations and brought to semi-truck trailers at West Orange and Olympic High Schools. Once there they need to be sorted, boxed, and packed. In addition there are numerous phone calls to be made and returned to keep everything moving and organized.
