Ministry Opportunities

Ministry opportunities at The Crossings fall into two general categories. The first is serving in a way that helps facilitate the internal needs of our own community of faith. The second is extending beyond ourselves into the surrounding community.

There are many things we do and want to do that are not listed here. If you have a heart to be involved in something not listed, get in touch with us. Our commitment is to move beyond where we are into other areas as God raises up people to lead the charge.

Internal Ministries

Children’s Ministries: PromiseLand (K-5 th grade), PromiseTown (Ages 2-4), and Nursery (birth-2). For those who love investing in the future of children. There are opportunities to lead, teach, or just help in any way you can. The rotation is four weeks on and eight weeks off.

Student Ministries (Adrenaline, middle and high school). A place where students lead with adult supervision as they help one another grow toward full devotion to Jesus Christ. There are all kinds of opportunities to serve in all kinds of ways, so if you have a heart for teens, this is for you.

Production: This team handles all the technical needs for The Crossings Sunday services. This includes such things as sound, lighting, projection, and creative graphics. A natural fit for the techy’s of the world.

First Impression: This team creates a friendly and welcoming environment for those attending. It includes such things as greeters, information tables, decorations, room design and layout, and other touch-feely things that make being at The Crossings a wonderful experience.

Facility Set-Up and Tear Down: Since The Crossings currently meets in rented facilities, this committed team, affectionately known as Morning Breath, prepares and cleans up the facility on Sunday’s.

Marketing: Builds awareness of The Crossings in the community through printed material, mailings, and other mediums. The are “get the word out” people who love the challenge of letting people know about the best kept secret in Orlando.

Graphics and Design: For people who are gifted in creating graphically appealing peiecs (signs, banners, printed pieces, web, computer, etc) to be used in various ministries.

Special Events : This team organizes and coordinates events both for the church and in the community. These are project oriented and “get it done ” people who enjoy working together and making things happen

Extension Ministries

At the Crossings we are committed to reaching beyond ourselves and extending the love and reality of God to our community.

Many of these things are still in the formative stages and are currently organized on an as needed basis. However, our desire is to have permanent serving teams that focus on reaching out to those who are under resourced and in need in a variety of ways. This includes everything from disaster relief to touching the poor to reaching out to those in various circumstances and lending a hand to ones who have obstacles to overcome.

The opportunities are endless, so if you see a need and have a heart to make a difference, let us know.
